Home Front Display

The key item on display is a poster depicting the Home Front that was produced by the Smithsonian on the 50th anniversary of WWII. This poster highlights many home front activities that were of vital importance to the war effort.

Our Home Front display cabinet displays original items that show how the American citizens did their part during the war including information on Rationing, War Bonds (used to finance the war), Victory Gardens, V-Mail, Blue Star Mothers and daily life in the U.S. during WWII.
